Argentina Welcomes International Travelers, Entry Requirements Lifted
We are happy to report that EEFF’s 2021-2022 season was spectacular — filled with returning and new guests alike, amazing fishing, beautiful days on the water, and only a few Covid-related hiccups. With our Spring and opening days just around the corner, we wanted to share the latest travel updates with you as we prepare for our upcoming season.
Good news for our international travelers: as of August 26, 2022, you are no longer required to provide proof of vaccination, Covid Health insurance, or the Sworn Statement as was required last year. There is also no testing requirement. As in all our earlier Travel Updates, here are 2 fundamental questions that our extended family of El Encuentro friends and prospective clients continue to ask:
1. Can you currently enter Argentina?
YES!
There are no specific travel requirements related to Covid.
We recommend wearing a mask over your nose and mouth in indoor areas of public transportation (including airplanes) and indoors in Argentine transportation hubs (including airports).
At this time, masks are required on all Aerolineas Argentinas flights.
We suggest you bring your own Covid self-test kits, if you can – much like you would bring any personal medications.
2. Can you return home after your trip?
Yes!
Before boarding a flight to the United States, consider getting tested for current infection with a viral test as close to the time of departure as possible (no more than 3 days) before travel. If you want to be tested, we have secured the services of a local biotech lab (owned and operated by a dear friend and member of the El Encuentro extended family) to administer and process tests at El Encuentro. Tests have an extra cost; can be paid with a credit card.
Wearing a mask over your nose and mouth is recommended in indoor areas of public transportation (including airplanes) and indoors in U.S. transportation hubs (including airports).
