Our Lodges
Uniquely Argentine, The El Encuentro Lodging Experience
El Encuentro Fly Fishing features a robust, expansive fishing program with a wide variety of exciting options spread across a massive swath of Patagonia. Our guests typically spend 7-10 nights with us splitting their time between our three unique operations, El Encuentro Lodge, Brook Trout Basecamp, and Valle del Carrileufu Lodge. From El Encuentro Lodge, perched above the blue-green waters of the Rio Futaleufu, anglers enjoy a great diversity of big Patagonia rivers, intimate small streams, and thrilling lakes in the areas around Trevelin, and Esquel. Roughly two hours south of the lodge, on the remote banks of the Rio Corcovado, the Brook Trout Basecamp provides strategic access to an otherwise untouchable gem in the middle of rugged and wild Patagonia. Two hours north of the lodge, just outside the northern boundary of Los Alerces National Park sits the Valle del Carrileufu Lodge where we enjoy easy access to iconic waters like the Rio Rivadavia, Rio Arrayanes, and Rio Carrileufu, as well as lesser know spring creeks and lagoons. By combining two or three locations into your visit we can show you the best fly fishing that Patagonia has to offer, and craft a trip that’s individually suited to your fishing style and preferences.
