Born and raised in Trevelin, Lucas (“Luquitas") is a proud native of Patagonia and part of the new generation of guides at El Encuentro Fly Fishing.

After spending two seasons as a guide assistant, where he learned the ins and outs of the profession, Lucas is now in his first year as a full-time guide. His enthusiasm, dedication, and deep love for his home waters make him a favorite among guests.

Lucas especially enjoys technical fishing with dry attractor flies and nymphs, where precision and patience are rewarded. His favorite time of the season is January and February, when the rivers are alive, and the fishing is at its best.
