Juan, originally from Esquel, is one of the newest members of the El Encuentro guide team. At 37 years old, he is beginning his second season guiding with us, bringing fresh enthusiasm and a deep love for Patagonian waters.

His favorite techniques include fishing with streamers early in the summer and later switching to large dry flies, especially hoppers, during the height of the season. Passionate about sharing these experiences with guests, Juan is always eager to help anglers connect with Patagonia’s rivers, lakes, and the remarkable fish that inhabit them.
