Alun Iâl Jones (Alin) was born and raised in Trevelin, in the heart of Patagonia, and has been deeply connected to this beautiful valley ever since. He has been exploring the mountains and trails of the region since he was a child, developing a lifelong passion for the outdoors.

Alun studied tourism and has over ten years of experience working as a guide with various tourism companies. He has been part of the El Encuentro team for a couple of years, where he enjoys sharing the natural and cultural wonders of the area with visitors.

He guides a wide range of outdoor activities, including hiking, birdwatching, horseback riding, kayaking, as well as visits to cultural and historical sites. Alun believes that each season at El Encuentro has its own unique charm, and he enjoys guiding throughout the year.
