Alun Lloyd was born and raised in Esquel. He began fishing the area at the age of six with his father and grandfather, who founded the first angler’s club in Los Alerces National Park. We consider him a true veteran at El Encuentro, having started guiding with Benjamin’s father in 1997.

Alun is passionate about nature and the outdoors and knows every little secret of the waters we fish. When he’s not guiding, he works as a professor and is a well-known guitarist and instructor. A day fishing with Alun is an experience in itself, thanks to his laid-back style and deep knowledge of local history and the natural surroundings.
